DMCA Policy

Last updated: June 08, 2026

Online QR Code Scanner ("Online QR Code Scanner") respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users of our Service to do the same. This policy outlines our procedures for responding to claims of copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.

By complying with the DMCA's notice-and-takedown procedure, we maintain our status as a "service provider" entitled to safe harbor protection from copyright liability. We take all valid copyright complaints seriously and will act promptly on legitimate notices.

1. What the DMCA Covers

The DMCA provides a mechanism for copyright owners (or their authorised agents) to notify online service providers about content that allegedly infringes their copyright. Upon receiving a valid notification, we are required to act expeditiously to remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material.

The DMCA also protects users from wrongful takedowns through a "counter-notification" process. If your content is removed in response to a complaint you believe is invalid, you have the right to file a counter-notice.

2. Before Filing a Complaint

Please consider the following before submitting a DMCA notice:

3. How to Submit a DMCA Takedown Notice

To file a valid DMCA takedown notice, your written notification must include all of the following:

  1. Your identity: Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address. If you are acting as an agent, identify the copyright owner on whose behalf you are acting.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work: A description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are covered, a representative list.
  3. Identification of the infringing material: A description of the specific content you claim is infringing, including its exact URL(s) on onlineqrcodescanner.com so that we can locate it. Vague or incomplete descriptions cannot be actioned.
  4. A statement of good faith: "I have a good faith belief that the use of the described material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law."
  5. A statement of accuracy and authority: "I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in this notification is accurate and that I am the copyright owner or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed."
  6. Your physical or electronic signature.

Send your completed notice to our designated copyright agent at:

Please allow 5–10 business days for us to review and respond to your notice. Incomplete notices will not be processed.

4. Our Response to Valid Notices

Upon receiving a complete and valid DMCA notice, we will:

5. DMCA Counter-Notice

If your content was removed in response to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was incorrect (for example, because you have a licence to use the material, or the use qualifies as fair use), you may file a counter-notice. Your counter-notice must include:

  1. Your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address
  2. Identification of the material that was removed and its location before removal
  3. A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification
  4. A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for your judicial district (or, if outside the U.S., to any judicial district where the service provider may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original notice
  5. Your physical or electronic signature

Send your counter-notice to the same contact address listed in Section 3 above. Upon receipt of a valid counter-notice, we will forward it to the original complainant. If the complainant does not file a court action within 10–14 business days, we may restore the removed content at our discretion.

6. Repeat Infringers

It is our policy to terminate access to the Service for users who are found to be repeat infringers of intellectual property rights, in appropriate circumstances and at our sole discretion.

7. Misuse of the DMCA Process

Filing a materially false DMCA notice is a serious matter. Under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f), any person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing — or that material was removed by mistake — may be liable for damages, costs, and attorneys' fees incurred by the alleged infringer or the service provider.

8. Copyright Ownership of Our Content

All original content created by Online QR Code Scanner on onlineqrcodescanner.com — including but not limited to source code, tool interfaces, blog articles, illustrations, and design elements — is protected by copyright law. Unauthorised reproduction or distribution of our original content may constitute copyright infringement.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this DMCA Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
